The process

From formula to finished fragrance

Making a designer-inspired fragrance at home is more achievable than most people think. Here's exactly what you get and how it works.

01

Choose & buy a formula

Browse by designer house, fragrance family or difficulty. Every formula page shows the notes pyramid, full spec and a preview of the build. Checkout is instant and secure — no subscription, no account hoops.

02

Unlock the bench sheet

The complete formula appears in your account immediately: every material with its CAS number and exact percentage, gram-per-100g figures, and a live calculator to scale any batch size. Download a watermarked PDF any time.

03

Source your materials

Each material lists its CAS number so you order exactly the right item. Our free Ingredients Guide points you to trusted suppliers in the US, EU, UK and Australia. Most formulas use materials from a single supplier.

04

Weigh & blend

Using a 0.01 g scale, weigh each material into your concentrate in the order listed. The strongest materials are flagged for pre-dilution. This is the satisfying part — your fragrance takes shape on the bench.

05

Macerate & dilute

Rest the concentrate in a cool, dark place for a couple of weeks so the components marry, then dilute to the recommended strength in perfumer's alcohol. Each formula gives its own timing.

06

Wear & refine

Rest the finished fragrance a little longer, then wear it. Because you have the full formula, you can tweak the sweetness, woods or projection and make it entirely your own — batch after batch.
