Refund policy

Summary: Our formulas are digital products delivered instantly. Because of this, we do not offer change-of-mind refunds — but we stand behind the accuracy of every formula and will promptly refund or correct any genuine material error.

Digital goods & instant delivery

When you purchase a formula or bundle, you receive immediate access to the full content and a downloadable PDF. As the product is delivered the moment payment completes and cannot be “returned,” all sales are final except as set out below. By completing checkout you acknowledge that you are accessing the digital content immediately and that statutory cooling-off rights for digital goods may be waived where permitted by your local law.

Material-error guarantee

We take accuracy seriously. If a formula you purchased contains a genuine material error — for example, percentages that do not sum correctly, a mislabelled CAS number, or instructions that are demonstrably wrong — contact us within 7 days of purchase and we will either correct the formula at no charge or, at your choice, refund that purchase in full.

What is not covered

  • Change of mind, or buying a formula you decide you do not want.
  • Subjective disagreement with how close a reconstruction smells to its inspiration. Fragrance is personal, originals vary between batches, and your raw materials, scale accuracy and maceration all affect the result.
  • Difficulty sourcing a material, or the cost of raw materials.
  • Results affected by substituting materials, skipping maceration, or deviating from the instructions.

Duplicate or failed purchases

If you were charged but your formula did not appear, use the Restore my purchase tool on the checkout success page or in your account, which re-checks payment and reinstates access automatically. If you were accidentally charged twice for the same item, contact us and we will refund the duplicate.

How to request a refund

Email support@scentformulas.com from the address on your order, with your order reference and a short description of the material error. We aim to respond within one business day. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe, typically within 5–10 business days.

This policy does not affect any rights you may have under mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction.
